Courtesan Artist: Koson Format: Chu-tanzakuban tate-e: 14.5" x 5" Subject: The silhouetted profile of a courtesan is visible as she stands on a veranda staring at the sea during sunset. This design belongs to a small number of figurative prints by Koson. The style of this print harks back to the work of Utagawa Hiroshige (1797-1858).
