Monday, 4 April 2011 Offered for sale is a fantastic original woodblock print by Ito Shinui. The print is known by the title "Spring Scene of the Takara River at Okutone", published by Watanabe in 1940. This print is listed as pl. 104 in the Ito Shinsui catalogue raisonne. The print is in excellent condition with absolutely no foxing or toning. The colors are fresh and vivid. There are some pencil notations on the reverse that do not show through to the front. The print has never been matted or framed. The reverse has the appropriate round 6mm Watanabe seal at the bottom left corner. The print is oversized, measuring 19 x 13 1/2 inches (paper size).
