Description:
Original woodblock print by listed artist Tamami Shima (born 1937). Size stated above is image size and print is housed in a 18" x 30" frame. Pencil signed and dated 1965, numbered 25/100. From exterior inspection, print appears in good condition. Original pencil signed and numbered 25/100 woodblock from listed contemporary artist Tamami Shima (born 1937). Ms. Shima is known for her frequent depictions of birds in flight. This piece has an image size of roughly 12" x 22" on a sheet roughly 14 1/2" x 25". Print is pencil dated 1965. We opened up this piece to clean the glass and find that it is dry mounted on the backing piece which measures roughly 18" x 27". Dry mounting tissue can be seen in # 2 photo of upper left corner.
