Description:
This is an genuine original Japanese woodblock print “Trees and birds” by great sosaku hanga artist Shima Tamami (b.1937). Created in 1962. The print is not trimmed or setdown. Excellent impression, colors and registrations. Texturised like prints of Kiyoshi Saito or Junichiro Sekino. Printed on thick paper. Signed in pencile by the artist on bottom margin in roman style and inscribed in japanese. Numbered 70/100. Oversize double oban 22 3/4" x 16".
