Tuesday, 26 April 2005 Do you know this Japanese woodblock print artist? If so, please let me know. I've previously been told it is Hasui, however I can not confirm this information, and believe it to be someone else. It is about 14 1/4 x 9 1/4". It is framed, and attached to the mat by 2 pieces of tap (see pics inside and outside of frame. I have attached enlarged pictures of the seals and Japanese writing on the item. A friend of mine (a Japanese print dealer) was shown your photo and doesn't recognize it having never seen it before. He reads signature "HODO", the publisher "Takemura Shokai in Yokohama", the date "Showa 8th (1933) and the title "Yokohama Shigai no Yau (Night Rain at Yokohama City)".
