The spirit of a genius? Not only. Lu Min like nearly all successful contemporary Chinese artists underwent a thorough art training. And what looks like an intuitive, genial brush stroke is also the result of an elaborate design planning, a mastering of the tools, hard work, skill and experience. In this design one can see the outstanding use of complimentary colors - green with red and blue with yellow. Colors, the size of flat areas and the drawing are a balanced, yet dynamic entity. Look for instance at a small composition detail: while the two persons are looking to the left, the head of the horse is directed to the right. It emphasizes the vertical character of the whole composition. Note Try the following: Listen to a CD of flute music by Mozart, Bach or Italian composers while you look at this image.
