Description:
Wednesday, 14 November 2007 Japanese Water Color in horizontal from by artist Kyoha. This is what I believe to be a rare Japenese Water color. It is in it's original frame and has the label on the back. I have not taken it out as I do not want to mess anything up. I have included a picture of the label which says " By Kyoha (living) Water color in horizontal form " Boatsmans happy hour in the heavenly surroundings" not dated:suburb of Tokyo, Japan. " Also on the label is the shipping address which says " From S.H. MORI at 410 So Michigan BLVD Chicago Ill. " The label is interesting because the above address was a change from 638 and the Blackstone Hotel is crossed out. This may help someone better date this piece. The water color appears in a mated frame. The picture seen is 9 1/2" by 6". Again it may be slightly bigger as I did not remove it from its original framing. The entire frame measures 16" by 14". I purchased the piece at an estate auction in Apex North Carolina. It was with serveral other Japenese pieces. I did do some research and found little but did see another piece by Kyoha in an art auction in 1999.
