Thursday, 30 June 2005 The Actress Sakai Yoneko by Yamanaka Kodo (Tatsushige). Genuine woodblock print dated Showa 4. Very good condition. 18.9 x 13.0 inches. Later impression with Narazaki supervisor's seal, Koike carver's seal and Watanabe printer's seal in left margin. Strong texture and ink bleedthrough. Very nice baren rubbings. Compare with same image in the Book "The Female Image 20th Century Prints of Japanese Beauties". Comes with original presentation folder.
