Saturday, 4 June 2005 A Fox Artist: Kiyochika Format: Oban yoko-e: 9.75" x 14.75" Subject: An evening scene with a Fox trying to catch birds living behind a grille, a crecent-shaped moon in the background. Date: c. 1880's Condition: A little trimmed at top margin. Toned. Vertical and horizontal foldmarks. Some damages and thinned spots. Slightly soiled and worn. Overall creases. Minor stains, marks and flaws. Fair/poor state. Colour: Fine colors. Impression: Fine impression with gauffrage.
