Wednesday, 30 June 2010 Imao, Keinen 今尾 景年 (1845 - 1924) Flying wild ducks near the cold riverside Signed: Keinen (and seals Eikan no in and Keinen) Date: ca. 1870 Size: 198.5 x 50 cms (mounting) 107.2 x 36.2 cms (painting) 78 x 20 inch (mounting) 42 x 14 inch (painting) Technique: colours on silk Condition: Chuberi of beige silk brocade, top and bottom of pale blue silk, dark-brown&gold ichimonji and futai, ivory rollers, original titled, signed and sealed wooden box, very good overall condition, with a few faint traces of foxing. The quality of the mounting is exceptional. On the inside of the box lid Keinen has written that Price: 1550 Euro Literature: Roberts, pp. 53-4
