Guaranteed original Japanese woodblock print Artist: Kawase Hasui Subject: The Actor Nakamura Utaemon Publisher: Watanabe - Print bears the 6mm publisher seal indicating this is an early and original impression. Date: 1951 Size: Oban design measures 10.5" x 15.75" Condition: Fine color & impression. Slight toning to top verso margin and doesn't show through to front. Very faint discoloration to right side of actors face. Finely printed with mettalic pigments. NOTE: Unusual subject for Hasui who, of course, mainly designed landscapes
