Kawase- SPRING EVENING AT KINTAIKYO BRIDGE- 1.jpg is: Evening at the Kintaibashi in Spring, 1947 Kawase Hasui (1883 ? 1957) This wonderful spring cherry blossom scene at the Kintaibashi is one of Hasui’s best. The beautiful blossoms in full bloom dominate the foreground in a design reminiscent of Hiroshige. A single boatman passes under the traditional old bridge. Signed- Kawase Hasui with red artist’s seal “sui” Sealed- Publisher Watanabe, 7mm seal, later edition original, from original blocks Image size- 9 ?” x 14 3/8” (oban tate-e) Condition- Excellent, no toning, tears, not mounted, full margins.
