Thursday, 7 April 2005 Offered here is a wood block print by Kawase Hasui. Entitled "The Miyajima Shrine in Snow" it is mesmerizing in it's use of colour and composition. It is backed onto a heavy piece of Japanese paper, the woodblock itself measures 15" by 10". The outer page has one .5" tear that does not affect the image, which is in good overall condition, with some light age-consistent wear around the edges.
