Notes: Narazaki notes that, "The design for this vertical, nagaban-format print, was created during Hasui's 102-day touring trip and based on a sketch made in Etsuji. Although a fairly complicated and meticulous bird's-eye view of the valley - it is also a nocturne - every detail is unified by the monochromatic scheme. Not to be overlooked are fine aspects such as the sunset in the western sky, the mountains and the mist that screen the distant mountains. It is said that it took four years from the cutting of the blocks to the completion of the trial print". A SCARCE HASUI PRINT.
