Tuesday, 17 June 2008 YUKIO KATSUDA: "PANSY" NUMBER 56 This is a very fine framed and backed YUKIO KATSUDA print. Entitled "PANSY". It is double-matted and professionally framed. Purchased at art auction years ago. This series does not have a date but I'm guessing between 1970 and 1973. His series 60s was in 1973. I have other Katsuda's purchased in Tokyo and framed in the 70s and all have no dates. This rivals any of his prints that have sold bringing high value. His standard signature in pencil is to the right and to the left are the print number and number 2 of 254. An awesome classic size for display. Has been displayed in a cool subdued lighting area. Measurements: Frame: 20 1/2"x26" Image size: 9 1/2"x14 1/2". Right at OBAN size.
