Tuesday, 27 November 2007 This is an old lifetime edition Japanese woodblock print by Shiro Kasamatsu (1898-1992) titled Interior Sacred Bridge Nikko, dated Showa 17 (1942), with a 6 mm read Watanabe seal in the lower right corner just under the artist's signature and seal, 15 3/4" x 10 3/4". It has strong bleed thru, strong colors, and a beautiful rain scene with a single figure holding an open umbrella. I think this is a RARE IMAGE. There are two tiny binder holes (found often on Watanabe prints).
