Monday, 29 May 2006 Hakone Kiga Fukin (Kiga Neighborhood at Hakone) by Shiro Kasamatsu. Original Japanese woodblock print dated Showa 28 (1953). Fine color, condition and impression. A couple little spots in margin. Print has never been framed and retains original colors. Very nice woodgrain in sky. Oban size measures 15.5 x 10.4 inches. Title, Unsodo publisher' seal, Shinmi printer's seal, Nagashima carver's seal and date in left margin. Shiro characters and red seal in lower left of image. Strong texture and ink bleedthrough on fine washi. Rare.
