Friday, 11 November 2005 ARTIST: Chikanobu. FORMAT: Oban, Triptych. (14” x 28”). TITLE: Ball: Cherry Blossom in Ueno. DATE: 1887. DESCRIPTION: Three young women, dressed in the latest Western fashion, prepare for a violin recital. Outside, another entertains guests on a piano. PUBLISHER: Katsuki Yoshikatsu. CONDITION: Some trimming to centre sheet, minor marks and flaws but generally reasonably good state. Retains Japanese album backing.
