A Collection of Night Tales: # 1 Artist: Chikanobu Format: Oban tate-e: 14" x 9.5" approx. Subject: Sanada Nobuyuki's wife, the female warrior, backing up her husband's troops. Publisher: Kobayashi Tetsujiro Date: 1866 Condition: Fine colors. Slightly trimmed in margin at base. Japanese album backing paper. Some offsetting of red pigment from another print in margin top left. Minor soils, marks and flaws. Generally very good state of preservation. Impression: Fine impression with gauffrage, lacquer and mica.
