Tuesday, 21 October 2008 Title: Lobster (Ise Ebi) Artist: Ohno, Bakufu, 1888-1976 Series: Familiar Fishes of Japan Volume 1 Plate in Series: 3 Date: 1937 Publisher: Kyoto Hanga-in. Medium: woodblock. Dimensions: 10 1/2 x 15 1/4 inches. Condition: Very good, very slight toning, small ink smudge on lower left margin made during printing. This print has never been framed. There are no bends, creases, paper loss, or tears. Impression: Excellent, mica dusting and gold ink on the tail. Color: Excellent, vibrant and complex. The color is as fresh as the day it was printed.
