Actor on the Seashore Artist: Ashiyuki Format: Oban tate-e: 15" x 9.75" Subject: The actor Arashi Kikusaburo II in character carrying a large package on his back and wearing a flame decorated kimono. He sits on a rock in front of swirling waves. Date: c. 1820's Condition: Fine colors. Some wear at corners. Rubbed and thinned bottom right. Generally good state of preservation. Impression: Fine de luxe impression with gauffrage and gold and silver pigment.
