Description:
This is a woodblock print by Japanese artist Kunihiro Amano. Kunihiro Amano was born in Hirosake, Aomori Prefecture in 1929. He graduated from Aomori Prefecural Technical School. After teaching himself woodblock print making, he first exhibited his prints in 1955 with the Nihon Hanga Kyokai. In his early prints he often used strong woodgrain as an element. This fine print features beautiful woodgrain throughout the print, as well as the crisp, relief printing of the raised border and the border around the leaf. This print measures 11 3/4" wide by 11 3/4" high and is signed "K. Amano" in the lower right and is titled "Nostalgia 2" in the lower left. "Nostalgia 2" is a wonderful print and is in very good condition.
