Description:
Saturday, 9 July 2005 An very nice colour woodcut of figures in the rain. On the reverse of the backing board in pencil it is inscribed "Oshiro/Ojiro - Shiro Kasamatsu. I don't know who the artist is, but I am sure it is Shin Hanga period and I have taken a close-up of the seal. Overall time stained, most evident in the margins (see photos). The print is unframed and hinged at the top corners onto old straw board. Good strong colour. Size: 15 x 6.5 inches (image)
