Description:
Colour woodblock print; an oban triptych from an album of 117 sheets. The kabuki actor Suketakaya Takasuke II as (Akazawa) Junai, standing with swords, Sawamura Tanosuke II as Oshichi, and Ichikawa Denzo as Kichisaburo, holding a bucket with a branch of cherry blossom; in the play ‘Fujibumi sono na mo gozonji’ by Segawa Joko II performed at the Nakamura-za in the 5th month of 1813.
