Description:
Colour woodblock print, oban triptych, entitled ‘A Children’s play, a picture of ‘Chushingura’’ (‘Kodomo no kyogen, Chushingura no zu’). A composite view of all eleven acts of the kabuki play ‘Kanadehon Chushingura’ (仮名手本忠臣蔵) by Takeda Izumo II, Miyoshi Shoraku and Namiki Senryu, as performed by child actors. 1830-36 (Tenpo 1-7).
