Colour woodblock print, oban tate-e. The famous onnagata (actor of female roles) Bando Shuka I as Funakoshi jitsu wa Wakana hime in the play 'Shiranui monogatari' (しらぬひ譚) at the Kawarazaki theater in the second month of Kaei 6 (1853).
