Woodblock triptych print, oban tate-e. Scene from the kabuki play 'Yoshibe', showing Ume-no-Yoshibe, with a drawn sword (left) threatening two figures; the apprentice Nagawaka (Chokichi), who is on his knees (centre), and Ku-ome, the wife of Yoshibei, who is standing, a scroll at her feet (right), at night, in a strong wind with papers flying.
