Woodblock triptych print, oban tate-e. A scene from the kabuki play 'Asagao monogatari', with the actors Ichimura Uzaemon XII as the blind female minstrel Chiku-no-tsu (left), Ichikawa Danjuro VIII as Miyagi Asojiro (centre), and Bando Shuka as Miyuki, the daughter of Akitsuki (who later became another type of blind musician), in two boats.
