Scene from the production of Tsuki no demura at the Kawarazaki theater in the eighth month of Kaei 2 (1849), showing the actors Onoe Kikujiro as the attendant of the geisha Sangoku (left), Ichikawa Danjuro VIII as Tamaya Shinbei, Bando Hikosaburo as Demura Shinbei, and Ichikawa Kodanji IV as the cormorant fisherman Ukai Kujuro; the group in a screened room.
