Colour woodblock print, oban. The kabuki actor Matsumoto Koshiro V as Fuwa Banzaemon, standing with two swords and a folded fan beneath a blossoming cherry tree; in the play ‘Fuwa Nagoya yuki no dategasa’ by Shinoda Kinji I performed at the Nakamura-za in the 11th month of 1816.
