Description:
Colour woodblock print, hosoban. The kabuki actor Iwai Kumesaburo I as the wine merchant’s daughter, Omiwa (‘Sakaya musume Omiwa’), in the ‘Mikasayama Goten’ scene from Act IV of the play ‘Imoseyama onna teikin’ by Chikamatsu Hanji and others, performed at the Kawarasaki-za in the 7th month of 1801.
