Colour woodblock print, oban. ‘Clearing weather at Awazu’ (‘Awazu seiran’). A young lady seated with tobacco pipe, the folding screen behind her depicting a view of the moat and turrets of a daimyo’s castle in the rain, from a series of ‘Eight Views’ (‘Hakkei’) of Omi Province.
