Stencil-coloured woodblock print (kappazuri-e). Imaginary trial of strength (kubihiki) between the Osaka kabuki actors Nakamura Utaemon III in costume for the 'shakkyo' dance (right front) and Arashi Kichisaburo II as Akizuki Daizen (left front), watched by Ichikawa Ebijuro I as Miura Arajiro (right back), Ichikawa Monnosuke III as the umpire (centre back) and Arashi Sangoro III as Dankuro (centre left). Inscribed.
