Description:
Colour woodblock print, oban diptych from an album of 117 sheets. The kabuki actors Bando Mitsugoro III (right sheet) as Danshichi threatening Giheiji with a sword and Ichikawa Ichizo I as Mikawaya Giheiji, with festival floats and cherry blossom in the background; in the play 'Natsumatsuri Naniwa kagami' by Namiki Senryu, Miyoshi Shoraku and Takeda Koizumo, performed at the Nakamura-za in the 5th monthof 1814.
