Description:
Colour woodblock print, an oban diptych from an album of 117 sheets. The kabuki actors Ichikawa Danjuro VII as Kingoro, standing with a folded fan, and Iwai Hanshiro V as Kasane; in the play ‘Shikisemono Soga no datezome’, (also ‘Shikisezome Soga no datezome’), by Tsuruya Nanboku IV, performed at the Morita-za in the 1st month of 1813.
