Colour woodblock print. Bijinga. Composition bringing together half-length portraits of seven famous Edo beauties, with their names. Top row from right: Takashima Ohisa, with triple oak-leaf (mitsu-gashiwa) crest; Tomimoto Toyohina (possibly); Naniwaya Okita, with paulownia (kiri) crest. Bottom row, from right: Kikumoto Ohan, with crest of cucumber (kiuri), in circle; Hiranoya Oseyo, with crest of character Hira inside paulownia; Tachibanaya Otatsu (possibly); Fujiya Otayo, with crest of character Fu inside paulownia. Inscribed, signed and sealed.
