Patriotic depiction of a brave soldier and Japanese Imperial Flag during the Russo-Japanese War. The woodblock prints for Russo-Japanese War were far less than the ones for Sino-Japanese War. By then, the woodblock prints for the purpose of news reporting were largely replaced by other mass-production methods.
