Description:
Frontispiece illustration for the novel "YukuToshi" in Bungei Kurabu magazine Vol.19, No.16. A girl is in her thoughts at the end of year. Ikeda Shoen was one of the handful well known female artists before W.W.II. She made only a few woodblock prints. This one shows amply her artistic talent in the form of intricate colors and informal but attractive depiction of kimono designs.
