May in 1891, the crown prince of Russia, Nikolai (later Nicholas II), visited Japan first time in the history. To commemorate this occasion, many large warships from Germany, England, France and USA gathered in the Yohohama harbor as well as the ones from Japanese Imperial Navy. Here, Meiji Emperor and Empress await the Russian prince came on the shore.
