"Uki Aki" ("Melancholic Autumn"). Frontispiece illustration from the popular literary magazine, Bungei Kurabu (Vol.5, No.16), which was aimed at largely female readers in Meiji - Taisho era. Here, a mother is trying to give an advise to her daughter.
