Frontispiece illustration for the novel, "Bachi Atari" (Cursed), from the popular literary magazine Bungei Kurabu Vol.6 No.3, which was aimed at largely female readers in Meiji - Taisho era. Here, a mother and her crying son. House was depicted in black and white on the round inset.
