"Manjushage" (Red Spider Lily). The flower's alternative name, "Higanbana" was derived from its blooming time around "Higan", Buddhist tradition of visiting the grave yard around the autumnal equinox. The fiery red flower has been always associated with the death in Japan, but in China, it was the mythical flower blooming in heaven.
