Description:
"Marumage" Beauty with the traditional "marumage" hair style. Hiratsuka used mostly black and white for his works. The white area (negative space) was as important as its counterpart, the strong mass of black area. The interplays of the light and the dark created the rhythms that gave vibrancy to his works.
