"Yayoi" (March). Woman in the Genroku period. A kuchi-e (book illustration) from Bungei Kurabu, a very popular literary magazine, vol.19, no.4. Shoen was one of the very few renowned female artists before W.W.II. Her woodblock prints were very rare.
