Description:
"Bijutsu Sekai" (The World of Art) Vol.15. Picture album series compiled by Seitei WATANABE introducing the works of well known artists of Meiji era such as Bairei, Beisen, Taki Katei and Seitei himself. The series also includes the designs by Edo old masters such as Zeshin, Iccho, Okyo, Buson. These designs were transferred to woodblock prints mostly from paintings. 27 single page illustrations. Whimsical Ebisu and Daikoku as country folks by Zeshin, New Year's Day motifs by Toshikata and Seitei in this volume.
