Description:
From the album series of prominent Rimpa artists. Large pink peony. Sotatsu founded the decorative school, "Rimpa" in early 17th century. Its boldly simplified and distorted natural forms were developed further by Korin OGATA (1652-1716). Its strikingly modern creations were moved into the spotlight again in 20th century by Sekka KAMISAKA (1866-1942).
