Description:

From the album series of prominent Rimpa artists. Flowering bush and oak leaves were depicted as maki-e on the lid of a storage box. "Rimpa" was a decorative school founded by Sotatsu in early 17th century. Korin further developed its boldly simplified and distorted natural forms.
