From the series, "Showa Tokyo Fukei Hanga Hyaku Zue Haifu Ga" (Hundred Pictures of the Sceneries of Tokyo in Showa) No.16. The fruit and vegetable market at Kanda in the early morning. The market was modeled after the food market of Munich (Viktualienmarkt in M�nchen) in Germany. The series depicted the new land marks and people's lives in the Tokyo after the devastating Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923. The earthquake killed 100,000 people and destroyed the most of Tokyo area.
