Title After a Shower original folder Artist Toraji Ishikawa 1875-1964 Signature 'Ishikawa' in the image. Seal Artist's seal. Dated Ca. 1930-40s. Medium/Technique Woodblock print. Impression Excellent - very good … Printed on a "Ishikawa Toraji" water marked paper. Colors Very good. Condition Good … Dark toning. Minor ink smudge on margins. Three horizontal cracks (1/3 inch long)on left margin. Margins slightly wavy. Two pin-sized holes on top margin corners. Top margin edge folded. A tissue overlay is pasted on the bottom margin edge. Description "After a Shower". The people start their boat excursions after the brief interraption by a thunder storm. The wind is still stron and the remnants of the dark clouds are still in the clearing sky. The day will be end as the sunny day as it started in the morning.
