Mitate Sanjurokkasen Series Artist: Kunisada & Gengyo Format: Oban tate-e: 14.25" x 10" Subject: Two actor, one standing holding a fan and the other lying on the floor with a drum before two Noh-masks. In the background a still life of straws and flowers by Gengyo. Publisher: Iseya Kanekichi Date: 1856 Condition: Fine colors. Laid down on Japanese album backing paper. Full size. Minor marks and flaws. Slightly soiled and rubbed. Album binding holes along right edge. Generally very good state of preservation. Impression: Fine impression with gauffrage and extensive use of mica.
